The surgery is open from 8.30 am to 5.00 Pm and on Saturdays we are open from 8.00am to 2.00 Pm. Every patient’s appointment is confirmed a day before through SMS or by direct phone calls. We always try our hardest to fit emergency patients throughout the day and if this is not possible we will place the patient’s name on our waiting list and will contact them immediately as soon as there is a cancellation.

Sterilisation
We believe that the sterilisation room of a surgery should be open for all patients to check if they wish to do so. Our sterilisation room is located in between the surgeries and is readily accessible for the patients.
All our instruments are first rinsed then put through an ultrasonic cycles, dried and sealed in special pouches. They are then autoclaved and the records of all the sterilisation cycles are kept in a log book.

We are currently in the process of being accredited by the experts in the field of infection control on our sterilisation techniques and will soon be receiving a certificate of accreditation.
Next time you are in the practice, please feel free to walk into our sterilization room and provide us with your feedback.
Nitrous oxide sedation
Both our surgeries are equipped with nitrous oxide sedation machines. Nitrous oxide or happy gas is very effective for anxious patients. Under nitrous oxide sedation patients feel less concerned and focussed on the dental work being carried out and tend to drift away easily. Because nitrous oxide does not affect the patient’s consciousness, the recovery period is very quick. Most patients can leave the surgery and drive home a few minutes after their treatment.

Although not as potent as intravenous sedation or general anaesthetic, nitrous oxide is very effective in relaxing anxious patients.
Feedback from patients
We believe most of our patients must be happy with our surgery. Yet, without feed back from patients, it is very hard to measure a patient’s satisfaction with our surgery. For this reason, we encourage our patients to let us know what they think of us by filling our feed back forms.

Our staff members do contact our patients randomly and record their feedback, however we would appreciate your feedback by filling in the forms for patient feedback and we shall show our appreciation by a dental gift of a Sensodyne soft tooth brush and a complimentary tooth paste.

For those patients whose feedback is very important to us we would like to offer them a tooth brush and a tooth paste as a means of our gratitude for giving us some feedback by filing our feedback forms.

Pregnancy and Oral Health
Before getting pregnant get your full mouth checked up, so as to avoid any forthcoming dental pain, as you must be aware that a lot of dental treatment are not possible during pregnancy and you may have to bear the pain throughout your pregnancy due to unsuitable conditions of strong medications.

During pregnancy gums usually bleed little more as compared to other times if you have plaque and tartar which is not a good sign and also causes bad breath and bad health for you and your child in the womb.

So get a full mouth treatment done for cavities and bleeding gums before getting pregnant especially if you have wisdom tooth pain or any deep cavity pain. Get a root canal done or extraction of wisdom tooth before pregnancy to avoid pain and eating antibiotics during your nine months.

Age Above 35
After the age of 35, you've got to take more care of your gums. If your gums bleed while brushing or when you bite an apple, you can be sure you have a gum problem. Get your gum treatment done on time, before it's too late to make your gums tight and strong and to enable it to hold your teeth in its position to double the life of your teeth.

Children
If your child has Thumb sucking, Lip biting, night bottle feeding habit
If your child has black/brown milk teeth or black/brown permanent teeth
If your child has a habit of eating Chalk/tooth paste.

After your child gets his/her milk teeth, take him/her compulsorily once in 6 months for a dental check up to have his teeth, gums, tongue, lips, cheeks, palate and the jaws checked up to prevent any forthcoming dental problems. When the first milk tooth falls off and the permanent teeth starts erupting (between 5 1/2 and 6 1/2 years)
